Redocking Homesite Resource Window

After installing Homesite 5.5 on my Vista PC, it worked fine. Some time later,
when I opened it again, the resource window had disappeared. I can view the
windows from the View menu, but I cannot get them to re-dock. I encountered
this problem with Homesite 5, but I was able to fix the problem by making
changes to the registry (I shutter even thinking about it!) I tried the same
trick with 5.5, but it didn't work. What is the catch to getting the resources
window docked in 5.5?

That helped, somewhat, Roy. As another user reported on Forta's blog comments, the Snippets window cannot be re-docked as the others.

I think that might have been a one off. My Snippets pane can be re-docked that
way. If you're still having problems then it's a registry edit:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Macromedia\HomeSite5\Docking\AllaireTabDockForm0
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Macromedia\HomeSite5\Docking\frmDockSnippets on all
keys set Floating to 0 (zero)

Mine just doesn't want to behave that way! When I right-click on the snippets
window, there are only three options: Create Folder, Refresh, and View Keyboard
Shortcuts. Even changing the registry key had no effect! I added all the same
Registry Strings for Snippets as were present for the other windows, but when I
open Homesite, the key values for Snippets get set back as they were. My new
strings are deleted.

Well, I kept playing with it, and finally got the Snippets window docked! I
closed Homesite with the Snippets window not showing. Then I added all the
String Values back to the Snippets Key, making sure that the Floating key was
set to zero. When I opened Homesite, the Help window which had been docked was
now floating, but I re-docked it. Then I went to View Resource Windows, and
when I selected Snippets, its tab appeared docked! Go figure!
